It all started with "yeah, we are going to come and visit you!" which I heard many times and after nobody showing up ever, I kind of stopped believing it. Well, my friends, Christine and Alex, a cute couple I had met in Spain, really decided to come and visit me in florida. I was super excited. It was during the world cup soccer games and Alex and Christine and I were all rooting for the same teams, mostly. Spain, USA and Argentina!!! We had hoped someone would go all the way and Argentina did, except in the final game lost to Germany but we aren't going to talk about that. I wasnt sure what to show them and the excitement that built up in me that day at work was crazy. We met at a hookah restaurant and had lots of vegetarian food. It was sooo good. I forgot how great vegetarian food really was. Our energy together was phenomenal and we couldnt stop laughing and joking. It was so much fun. The next morning we all decided to go to the oldest city in the
USA-St Augustine. It had lots of spanish influence and we loved it. We sat and talked about how great Spain used to be and how much we missed it. We got to try the sangria and spanish olives and it reminded us how awesome the spanish dishes and wine was. I was able to show them the beaches of Jacksonville, Florida where we watched some soccer games before we left for St. Augustine. It is in this old spanish city where we watched USA play Belgium, which didnt go so well, but we realized how awesome our goalie really was. We went to the winery and learned how to swirl our glasses and how to air rate our wine so it would taste better. It  was quite the experience. When they left, an emptiness was left inside of me. They told me that they would be back but I knew that something could come up. They told me they might be back a few days later and when they called me earlier than that letting me know they were here, I was so excited. They were going to spend July 4th with me. I took them to the river where all the fireworks were supposed to be. Honestly, I saw better displays in Centerville, Ohio but I enjoyed the experience. It was such a joy to have them back in my life even for a few days, I really felt energized and inspired when they left. Christine was the girl, the little voice in my head that convinced me that I could do a marathon which I was able to complete in prague, czech republic. It was so inspiring to meet her again.  She is such a great influence in my life even though we might just spend a few days together and we wont see each other for years. They both have such an influence on me and they made my experience in Spain so much better. Thanks for everything you guys. I am so happy you were able to come and visit. Malaga is where we met in Spain and we were able to find Malaga street in St Augustine which was such a cool memory for all of us.
